Dance Dance Dance!

Ainsley decided to take a hip hop dance class this last year. She had her dance recital this last weekend so we were able to see what she had been learning all this time. She really liked her teacher who's name is Amanda George but has everyone call her "George". Her class did a dance to Justin Bieber's "One Time" and they did a great job. I have to say that I think Ainsley was one of the best in her class. She knew the dance really well and had been practicing it at home too. I know what you're thinking, she's the mom of course she'll say that, but really it's true!

Graduation Day April 22, 2011

It's finally happened, I graduated! My name can now read Linda F. Wood RDH BS. It was a bitter sweet moment because our class has grown so close over the past 2 years and now we won't see one another, at least like we used to. But at the same time it's soooo nice to not have to worry about homework or that I don't have a patient scheduled for clinic time!
I had my family, my parents, Bry's parents, and sister Kim come to my graduation. I started crying as soon as I spotted them in the crowd, darn Hadfield genes! It was a nice ceremony and not too long. They all screamed real loud for me when my name was read! Then we went out with my parents to Training Table for dinner afterward. Now it's time to find a job!

She's legal now, at least to drive.

The day has arrived, Kenzie turned in her learner's permit for her driver's license! She's excited about her new found freedom, Ainsley is too! No more riding the bus to school. These pictures are of her and Ainsley going to school by themselves, sniff sniff. I'm feeling a little left out now!

My Birthday/Graduation Gift!

Bry surprised me a little early with my birthday/graduation gift--a new car! We were planning on getting a new car after I graduated so he already knew what car I wanted, a Ford Edge, but he went the extra mile by getting early. He then put a navigation system, entertainment system, and heated seats into it! Let me tell you it's a nice ride! Thanks Hon!

AAAGGGHHH BOARDS!!!!!

I've been taking board exams for the past month now: 1) Process of Care Exam, 2) National Written Exam, 3) Anesthesia Written Exam, 4) Anesthesia Clinical Exam, 5) WREB Clinical Exam. Yes that's 5 exams in order to get my license as a Dental Hygienist! I've received results back for 3 out of the 5 exams so far, passed them whew! The Process of Care and WREB Clinical results come together and won't be here for another week or two. My schooling is just about complete, we are 3 1/2 weeks away from graduation! I don't know who's happier me or Bry?

Sweet 16!

Kenz turned 16 this year! She's so excited to get her drivers license but due to laws she has to have her permit for 6mos. before actually getting her license. We didn't realize this until the end of September so she has to wait a month after turning 16 to get her license. Bryan's stepsister Bobbi Jo made this cute cake for Kenz. If it's too hard to see, it's a car that has run into a stop sign. She was woken up from a nap before taking this picture so she was still a little tired. So the next step will be her first date, Bry's got his bat ready!

We have another teenager!

Ainsley Bug turned 13 this year! She had a small sleep over party with a couple of her friends. She also wanted to have her cake be homemade again, and she pretty much made it. I know it looks orange but it's actually pink. She also wanted to make chocolates to put on her cake like we did with Bry's. Happy Birthday Bug!

Ready For Boards!

In January after returning to school my class had to sign up for our board exams. After spending $1700 to sign up for these 5 exams I got these papers in return! Expensive papers huh! But this is the start to getting my license. My knees were shaking a little!

Christmas PJ's

Ok I know it's March but I've been a little busy with boards lately, more on that later. I though I'd share the girls annual Christmas Eve opening of the PJ's. They're growing up but still get excited to have their new pj's for Christmas!

Bry's big birthday!

Bryan turned 40 this last December. I was able to surprise him for once too! I found the funniest cakes online to celebrate "over the hill" birthdays. One was a casket which I thought at first I'd do but then decided it was too hard. Instead I made a headstone which reads "RIP Bryan's Youth" 1970-2010 then I made sports shaped chocolates to put at the top and black chocolate roses around the sides. I was able to decorate it at Kim's house and then kept in my trunk until we went to the big Wood Family Christmas party. His cousin JD helped us out by announcing Bryan's birthday was the next day and got everyone to sing Happy Birthday to You as I walked in with the cake and Kenzie with balloons. He was so embarrassed that he was trying to walk out the door as we walked in but he was a good sport about it! Happy Birthday Bry!!
